What is the approach of Entertainment Psychology?
Entertainment Psychology utilizes a personalized, evidence-based approach that combines Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis with performance arts to foster communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills.
What behavioral and therapeutic services do we provide?
Entertainment Psychology offers a range of services, including the development of Individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), Skill Acquisition Goals, and support for behavior reduction strategies. Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and therapists work collaboratively to meet each client’s unique needs.
What are Skill Acquisition Goals?
Skill Acquisition Goals aim to help clients develop new abilities in areas such as communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and cognitive skills, broken down into manageable steps for effective learning.
How does data play a role in therapy?
Data collection is fundamental in Applied Behavior Analysis, allowing for continuous monitoring of progress. This data informs decisions and helps adjust therapeutic approaches to ensure meaningful improvements.
How are performance arts integrated into therapy?
Performance arts, including music, role-play, and imitation exercises, are used to create engaging and enjoyable learning experiences. These methods help clients practice social skills and emotional expression in a supportive environment.
What age groups are served?
Our services currently include individuals aged 4 to 18, and we are actively exploring ways to extend our support to older age groups on an individual basis. Our tailored strategies promote communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and skill acquisition for socially significant goals, creating an inclusive environment where individuals of all ages feel welcome and supported.
How does Entertainment Psychology work with clients and families?
Entertainment Psychology collaborates with clients, families, and other care providers to ensure that each BIP and Skill Acquisition Plan aligns with the client’s needs and goals, fostering a holistic approach to care.
How do I get started?
To begin, you would first book a consultation meeting. Behavioral Services in Entertainment Psychology (BSEP) is typically covered by most insurance plans, and individuals can access services through their insurance or Medicaid.
During the initial consultation, insurance options and any necessary authorizations will be discussed. Following this, your case coordinator will facilitate a comprehensive behavioral assessment, leading to the collaborative development of an individualized treatment plan. We then schedule behavior intervention services at your home or preferred location, along with personalized training for families and support systems.
What are the focus areas of therapy?
The focus includes improving communication skills, enhancing social skills, supporting emotional regulation, promoting daily living skills, and managing challenging behaviors through individualized ABA strategies.
